None other than William Christie, harpsichordist, conductor, musicologist and founder of les Arts Florissants makes his appearance within the "See you after the Break" series. He joins forces with violinist Théotime Langlois de Swarte to bring the work of Jean-Baptiste Senaillé out of oblivion. The composer Leclair is also featured. Leclair and Senaillé were, in a way, the Paganinis of 18th-century France. Their sonatas are both virtuosic and poetic, always formidably rhythmic and danceable. The meeting of two artists many years apart is a pure miracle of musical understanding - a true moment of grace."
